Thank you for taking the time to present to us your Sliderocket presentation and video. I love your work! I am wondering where you got the images that you used?

Most of the photos in Amy’s presentation have been purchased on iStockphoto and there are a few from Flickr. With SlideRocket you can upload your own assets to the Media Library, purchase stock images from the Marketplace or use the Flickr integration to add free, creative common licensed images. I liked the fade in where the letters were light and got darker. What was that, do you know?

Builds animate Elements onto a slide and off of a slide. Elements can be set to animate individually or simultaneously with other elements, automatically, or when the slide is clicked. The light to dark illusion was simply a gray text box fading in and fading out, while simultaneously adding a dark text box build fade in. How did you add the frames behind each of your photos?

    January 19, 2012 @ 1:41 pm

SlideRocket offer several different borders to be added behind any images on your slides. Currently, there are 5 present styles: Matte Frame, Taped, Polaroid, Torn Edges & Custom. You can add the borders from the Effects tab within the Presentation Editor. For more information on different Effects, click here: http://support.sliderocket.com/entries/213625-effects

Hello – I would like to ask – how did you get the person to disappear? (the guy on the beach walking the dog) Also – do you have animated one?

  8. Sogol Motiey

    January 19, 2012 @ 4:33 pm

The silhouette of the person on the beach is a photo. The photo has a Build/Animation set to “Fade Out.” You can add builds to elements on your slides such as Appear, Fade, Wipe, Fly, Glow, Sparkle, Scale, Blur, Materialize, Typewriter & FlyZoomSpin from within the Presentation Editor.

I liked the font that you used. Which one is it?

  11. Sogol Motiey

    January 22, 2012 @ 9:50 pm

The font that was used is a custom font called TrashHand. SlideRocket offers several different fonts along with the option to upload your custom font. Custom Fonts can be uploaded in TrueType Font (TTF) format for use in all areas of SlideRocket. I noticed when you played the video it started replaying again instead of going to the next slide. Is there a way to automatically have the slide advance to the next slide after the video is finished?

  13. Sogol Motiey

    January 22, 2012 @ 10:06 pm

Yes, you can. From the Slide Properties menu in the Presentation Editor, you will see that you have many options for how you want each slide to advance to the following slide. You can choose “Wait for Click, Automatically, or When audio/video is finished.”

Fantastic presentation. How did you add what appears to be hand written or hand drawn stuff?

Nice presentation. How did you do slide 11 (Imagine your pet life …). It looks like a video, but I guess you did not embed a video, did you?
    Thanks.

About 1/2 way through, a video plays with multiple transitions to photos with fade in/outs. How did you do this?

    Hi Bob,

I think you’re referring to slide #11. That’s a SlideRocket presentation embedded on the slide. It’s as easy as using Camtasia (or other screencast tool) to record the presentation, import the video into SlideRocket, and drop it on your slide. Of course your presentation will have to be set to auto-play.

    Hi CKNY,

Please see the answer to Bob above. It’s a SlideRocket presentation embedded as a video onto the slide. It’s really easy.

You can use this approach to post SlideRocket presentations to YouTube and similar sites too.

    Hi Gurmit,

The handwritten words are just a type of font you can find in SlideRocket. It’s called “Trashcan” oddly enough. The images that appear handwritten were created in Photoshop.
