SlideRocket Goes SEO – Turn Your Presentations Into SEO Content
When marketers think of SEO content they tend to think of their website or blog, but they should also be thinking about their presentations. And now they can!
SlideRocket has just released the “Promote My Presentation” feature, which greatly improves your ability to get your presentations listed in Google and Bing’s organic search results. As SEO content, Google and Bing will view your SlideRocket presentations just like your website. All the text and titles from your slides will be readable by the search engines and they will rank your presentation for the appropriate keywords. You’ll get all the benefits of more people viewing your presentations! This feature is available to SlideRocket users on all plan types including the free version.
Here are the 5 simple steps to turn your presentations into SEO content:
- In your presentation go to the “Share” tab
- Click “Publish” and then “This presentation is public”
- Check the “Promote My Presentation” box
- Check the “Presentation outline” box
- Click “Apply Changes”
When you enable the “Presentation outline”, the text from each of your slides will be discretely visible to viewers at the bottom of the page below your presentation. This is what enables the search engines to “see” your presentation as SEO content. For Lite (free) users of SlideRocket you will not see any significant change in the way your presentations appear, but Pro users will see a change in the overall layout of the page.
As you develop your presentations be sure to adhere to sound search engine optimization tactics. This should include placing keywords in your presentation URL and the text on your slides. Further, you should link to your presentation from your blog, website and social media (Twitter, Facebook, Linked). This will not only enable Google to “find” your presentation, but the more links to your presentation the higher it will appear in the organic search results. More visitors for you!

Great work! I’m looking forward to pulling more over from my prior slide sharing solution now that this feature exists within SlideRocket.

Great to hear Jay. I’m currently going through and picking the presentations I’d like to “Promote” for SEO.
Will you be at SXSW again this year? We’ll be back in a big way.
