By John Rode on July 18, 2012

This new SWOT analysis template takes just minutes to customize and is available for free. It features the main SWOT template, drill-downs, stylish animations and a navigation. You can get it now from the Templates gallery in SlideRocket. Sign-up here for free if you’re not yet a SlideRocket user.

A SWOT Analysis Template That Engages

Inspired by the success of our Marketing Plan Template, this SWOT analysis template is ideal for presenting your analysis to management and brainstorming with your team. It’s a much-needed upgrade from the standard 4-panel design you typically run across.

SWOT Template Detail Slides

Most SWOT analysis templates stop at the main SWOT chart but we took it a step further. You can quickly create a series of details slides for any items on your SWOT template. This makes for a great flow in meetings as you present your information.

Navigation For Speed and Self-service

At the bottom of each slide we have provided convenient navigation icons that enable you to return to the main SWOT analysis chart and also progress to the next slide. This is quite handy as you field questions from your audience and as others navigate on their own.

We hope you find this SWOT analysis template helpful whether you’re presenting at work or school. Remember that with SlideRocket online presentations you have total control over your important information. You can keep your SWOT analysis  private so nobody can view it, or you can invite specific people to view it, and discontinue their access at any time. Your information is secure.

We invite you to take advantage of our other free presentation templates including the Marketing Plan Template, Newlsetter Template, Ebook Template, Venn Diagram Template and Presentation Résumé. There are more to come so please stay tuned!

Totally agree with the title of this article: Rethink the conventional. So make system available for all platform and stop being brand chauvinists. Cheers!

    Regis,

Which “system” and “platform” are you referring to? You can use SlideRocket on Mac or PC, and any browser as well. As for the SWOT analysis template, yes that is available within SlideRocket and we’re not offering it as a PowerPoint file.

Great variation on the standard SWOT matrix. Whatever the format, you cant go wrong if you follow these basic rules:
    1) Be realistic and subjective about the strengths and weaknesses of your organization when conducting SWOT Analysis.
    2) A SWOT Analysis should distinguish between the current and the future status of your organization.
    3) SWOT Analysis should always be specific. Remain focused on the topic and keep points ‘black and white’.
    4) Apply SWOT Analysis relative to your competition. It is important to identify who you are competing against and what you do better and what you do worse.
    5) Keep your SWOT Analysis short and simple. Avoid complexity and over-analysis.

Good insights Nicholas. I’m thinking about adding tags or “stickies” to the SWOT analysis template to provide guidance like you provided. I’ll certainly draw from your recommendations for inspiration.
