Audio Features

Astronaut Tips & Rocket Tricks - Audio

We've had a few questions on audio options recently so let's talk about the different ways you can use audio files.

  1.  An audio file for your whole presentation
  2. An audio file per slide

#1 is typically considered a music bed which you probably want to play for the duration of your presentation or loop as the presentation loops. With your presentation open, go to the File menu and select Presentation Settings. In the dialogue you'll see an area for Presentation Audio that lets you Add from library, preview your audio, clear your selection and set the volume. Set your preferences here and select ok.

#2 lets you select a piece of audio for a given slide and this is usually used for something like a voice over or an audio effect. To use this feature, open your presentation and select the slide you want to add audio to. In the properties menu you'll see a drop down for Audio which give you the same options as #1 and works the same way but just for this one slide.

Now you can make great presentations with beautiful audio.
